the Arch-Mage’s Quarters in the college of winterhold is packed full of alchemical goodies such as nirnroot, giants toe, a Frost Atronach Staff, glowing mushrooms, various poisons, lavender, falmer ears, gold, giant lycian, hanging moss and many more bits and bobs for you to collect. while Savos Aren is arch -mage the ingredients and object respawn every 2-3 skyrim days

map 1:
Map Location: After leaving Helgen and splitting ways with Ralof / Hadvar at the beginning of the game, follow the dirt path until it meets a cobblestone road. Turn left. Follow this road until coming to a sign with directions to Riverwood, Helgen and Falkreath. Take the first left after this sign (traveling SW) then look left while walking down the path. It will be on one of the bandits in the small camp.

Treasure Location: Outside of Riverwood. Cross the river and there will be a hollow fallen down tree trunk. Look inside.

Map Location: In a knapsack, in Journeyman’s Nook.
Treasure Location: Valtheim Towers just east of Whiterun. In a chest nestled in some rocks next to the river, just east of the keep.
map 3:
Map Location: found in Riverside Shack. There will usually be a sabre cat or a cave bear inside, feasting on the bones of a fisherman.
(Note: In the shack is a book named “Rislav The Righteous” which levels Light Armor under two other books to the left of the bookshelf.)
Treasure Location: follow the shore line around the north east side of the Solitude Lighthouse, north east of Solitude. The treasure chest is behind a rock on shore. (Note: there are two Nirnroot in the area - one just north of the lighthouse, one just south.)
map 4:
Map Location: Found in Redoran’s Retreat in a chest near the bandit chief. (Note: The 1.2 game update may be causing the treasure to not be present for some players even with the treasure map. The 1.3.7.0 update fixes this regression.)
Treasure Location: It leads to a treasure located behind Pelagia Farm south and slightly west of Whiterun. There is a random spawn dragon that may appear near the place when heading up the small mountain. It may or may not land. Continue past the site where the dragon attacked and go up the slope. The chest is near some vegetation up the slope.
map 5:
Map Location: In an end table in the bedroom at Angi’s Camp.
Treasure Location: Near the base of Bard’s Leap Summit. After plummeting from the large waterfall, follow the leftmost aqueduct (taking the path down is suggested) all the way down. The chest can be found at the very base where the fall meets the lake.
The chest is under water by a large rock, but visible.
map 6:
Map Location: An easier way to find the dead female Wood Elf is to head NNW from Volunruud up hill toward the top of the mountain (towards the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon) until encountering a blood trail. Follow the blood trail to the left into a rock outcropping to find her. A leveled bow is along the trail. At the other end of the blood trail lies a dead male Wood Elf; suggesting an altercation that occurred over the map. NOTE: If more or less heading up hill directly from Volunruud with W and N visible on the compass, this map can be found easily.
Treasure Location: Korvanjund; the chest is located on top of the archway by the tree.
map 7:
Map Location: In a locked chest in Traitor’s Post.
Treasure Location: Inside the walls and to the right in Gallows Rock, which is a Silver Hand fort located southwest of Windhelm and directly north of Fort Amol.
map 8:
Map Location: The map is found on the body of a Hunter killed by some Horkers just southeast of Bleakcoast Cave between the Wreck of The Pride of Tel Vos and the Wreck of The Winter War.
Treasure Location: Dragon Bridge farm. First X is located against a tree on the opposite side of the bridge as the mill. Second X is located underwater beneath the bridge.
map 9:
Map Location: Found on the body of Lucky Lorenz in Lucky Lorenz’s Shack, next to Abandoned Prison.
Treasure Location: Hidden behind the cataract of the waterfall south of Riften. It’s on the far side of the mountain that’s due south of Riften. Follow the path around the mountain till you get to a bridge. The left bank of the stream leads up to a bandit hold, Broken Helm Hollow, and also to a point where you can cross behind the falls.
map 10:
Map Location: found in Stony Creek Cave, on a bandit at the Alchemy Lab.
Treasure Location: from The Lady Stone face the peninsula to the east of Ilinalta’s Deep, at the bottom of the lake where the X is. Use the Local Map to pinpoint your location since the water is very murky and the chest will be difficult to see until you’re right on top of it.

You can fast travel while over encumbered with a horse, comes in very handy when filling up with items from hidden merchant chests, moveing house ect.
Merchants restock their gold after approximately 48 hours.
Guardian Stones:
The Warrior Stone - Combat skills increase 20% faster.
The Thief Stone - Stealth skills increase 20% faster.
The Mage Stone - Magic skills improve 20% faster.
The Lover Stone - All skills improve 15% faster.
The Apprentice Stone - Recover Magicka twice as fast; twice as vulnerable to magic.
The Atronach Stone - 50 extra points of Magicka, 50% Absorb spells, -50%
The Lady Stone - Regenerate Health and Stamina 25% Faster.
The Lord Stone - 50 points of damage resistance, 25% magic resistance.
The Ritual Stone - Raises all the dead around you to fight for you once per day.
The Serpent Stone - Paralyze the target for 5 seconds, and do 25 points of damage once per day.
The Shadow Stone - Invisibility for 60 seconds once per day.
The Steed Stone - Carry weight +100, no movement penalty from armor.
The Tower Stone - Unlock any expert level lock (or lower) once per day.
fast water travel: You can dismount a horse in the water and then mount it again to have regular speed.
Hold a torch up to an object before you start lockpicking, it makes it easier. It’s even mentioned in one of the in-game books, something along the lines of heat up a lock before picking it. fire spells also have the same effect.
When you increase your stamina you also increase your maximum carry capacity by 5. your capacity is also increased if you choose to become a werewolf in the companion quest line.
